Game 7 of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals truly devastated the Magnolia Hotshots.
They had the All-Filipino title won only to suddenly lose it in the final minute.
Wednesday in the 2019 Commissioner's Cup, Magnolia got a bit of closure on tormentor San Miguel, issuing a sound 36-point beating on the Beermen.
Jio Jalalon, who got the last clean look for Magnolia in Game 7 but missed, made up for it this time, dominating for 16 points, seven rebounds, and 10 assists.
"Yung Game 7 talaga eh... after nun, may ilang araw—mga dalawang araw—di ako naka-move on. Tapos, yun nga, kinakausap kami ni Coach Chito. Dahan-dahan kaming naka move on," Jio said.
"At least ngayon, nakabawi na din kami," Jalalon added.
Magnolia's win against the Beermen this time is just in the middle of the elimination round.
It will most likely mean little in the grand scheme of things but the Hotshots will relish this huge victory over their Finals tormentors.
"Masarap sa pakiramdam," Jalalon said.
"San Miguel yung natalo namin, mataas ang tingin talaga sa kanila. Tapos ayon, na nakuha yung panalo," he added.
