PBA: Streaking Hotshots battle struggling BWE for 3rd place
The Hotshots have won five straight and are in solo third place in the team standings with a 5-2 record.

Magnolia looks to make a final play for a twice-to-beat edge in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs.

The Hotshots have won five straight and are in solo third place in the team standings with a 5-2 record.

However, Magnolia has to stay hot in order to have a chance at a playoff bonus as a loss could derail the team’s chances for a top-2 spot in the postseason.

The Hotshots put their winning streak on the line Friday at the MOA Arena, taking on Blackwater. After a hot start, the Elite have lost back-to-back for a 5-3 record. Tip off will be at 4:30 p.m.

In the second game at 7:00 p.m. San Miguel (2-5) is out to salvage its conference against last place NLEX (2-7).
