For the first time since Game 7 of the Philippine Cup Finals, Terrence Romeo played basketball.
Following Achilles issues, Romeo suited up for San Miguel Beer Friday in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Terrence’s return comes just in time as the Beermen try to salvage their campaign in the mid-season joust. Even with the win over NLEX, SMB is just 3-5 in the team standings.
“Naninibago ako,” Romeo said on his return.
“Di a ako nage-expect masyado. Gusto ko lang makatulong sa team sa kahit na paanong paraas kasi out of shape talaga ako eh. Almost two months ako di naka-takbo,” he added.
Terrence got a decent six points in 15 minutes in his return. However, he downplayed his own impact for the Beermen.
However, there’s more work to be done for Romeo. He says he’s not even at half of his full strength.
“Medyo okay naman na, yung concern ko lang talaga is yung conditioning ko,” Terrence said.
“As in wala pa, parang 30 percent a lang siguro yung condition ko,” he added.
