A healthy Vic Manuel is a dangerous Vic Manuel.
Meralco found out how tough the Muscle Man is Friday in the one-game knockout for 8th place in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Manuel torched the Bolts for 23 points, 15 in the fourth quarter and overtime, to lead Alaska back to the playoffs.
“Last opportunity na sa amin ito. Yung last three games namin, parang binibigay na sa amin para makapasok kami sa playoffs, hindi namin nakukuha,” Manuel said.
“Binigyan pa kami ng isang pagkakataon, so ngayong gabi, na-grab namin,” he added.
Manuel came back for the Aces this conference after a long recovery from injury.
While he’s been playing well, he wouldn’t say he’s regained his previous peak condition but he is healthy enough to play. Manuel played almost 25 minutes Friday against Meralco.
Ahead of his first playoff game this season, the Muscle Man will be ready to rock for Alaska.
“Oo naman syempre,” he said as the Aces take on no. 1 TNT on Sunday.
