PBA: Fighting Elorde on Northport-SMB: “Walang aatras”
Now, no. 2 Northport is locked in a one-game knockout for the semis. Elorde and the Batang Pier will be ready for it.

San Miguel is not the only team with pesky guards that can and will annoy the opponent into submission.

Northport has that kind of guy too and he goes by the name of Nico Elorde.

In the quarterfinals of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup against the Beermen, Elorde got it on with the San Miguel backcourt, specifically with Chris Ross and Terrence Romeo.

It was all part of trying to win Elorde said.

“Part lang naman ng game yun,” he said.

“Alam naman natin na ganoon naman talaga ako dumepensa. So wala, palaban [sila], palaban din ako. So walang aatras,” Elorde added.

Despite his and the rest of the Batang Pier’s best effort, they just lost their twice-to-beat advantage to San Miguel.

Now, no. 2 Northport is locked in a one-game knockout for the semis. Elorde and the Batang Pier will be ready for it.

“Kaya naman kami andito kasi twice-to-beat kami. May chance pa kami, hindi pa naman tapos yung basketball,” Elorde said.

“Kailangan lang maging ready kami kung ano man yung resulta, ganyan, yung tawagan, basta ready lang kami,” he added.
