LA Tenorio continues to be a pest for Terrence Jones in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
In Game 3 of the semifinals Tuesday, the two once again got dangerously close to each other following a TNT turnover in the first quarter.
Unlike their previous encounters however, Tenorio finally got the last laugh as Ginebra pulled one back against the KaTropa in this series with an 80-72 win.
“Paborito niya ako eh, di ko alam kung bakit. Favorite niya ako,” Tenorio said of Jones with a laugh.
“Wala naman yun, that’s part of the game especially very emotional game. Semifinals na rin to eh,” he added.
With that out of the way, Tenorio is more concerned of their Game 3 victory and how they can duplicate that in Game 4.
Tuesday’s decision certainly wasn’t easy for Ginebra.
“It was very difficult especially against TNT. We know how hard we have to play for 48 minutes against TNT,” LA said.
“They’re number 1 for a reason, they play really hard and they really adjust well during the game and they’re very confident. We have to look at video to see kung ano adjustment nila and anticipate kung ano kailangan namin gawin to get better for us to win another game on Thursday,” Tenorio added.
