The Finals will alsoo feature two former NBA players at the peak of their super powers in the KaTropa’s Terrence Jones and the Beermen’s Chris McCullough.
The 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals will feature the league’s only two flagship teams in TNT and San Miguel Beer.
The Finals will also feature two former NBA players at the peak of their super powers in the KaTropa’s Terrence Jones and the Beermen’s Chris McCullough.
McCullough, who’s the second to make the Finals, kept his answer very short and sweet when asked about his impending showdown against Jones.
“Let’s play basketball,” McCullough said.
The high-scoring import wasn’t around yet when TNT beat San Miguel earlier this conference.
The Beermen still had Charles Rhodes then and Jones scored 30 points on top of 18 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and five blocks for the KaTropa in a 13-point win.
McCullough is yet to face TNT but he’s confident he and his team can put something together in practice before Game 1 starts on Sunday.
“In practice we’re gonna have to figure it out, see what we’re gonna do,” McCullough, who scored 35 points in a Game 4 win against Rain or Shine to end the semifinals, said.
“Matchup-wise, I don’t know yet. We’ll figure it out,” he added.
