PBA Finals: Ross welcomes Blur challenge anew
It simply can’t get any better than this if you want a showdown between two champion point guards at their respective primes.

TNT vs. San Miguel in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals means it’s once again time for the premier Jayson Castro-Chris Ross showdown at the point guard spot.

On one corner is Castro, perhaps the most gifted offensive guard of his generation.

On the other side is Ross, arguably the most tenacious defender of his time.

It simply can’t get any better than this if you want a showdown between two champion point guards at their respective primes.

“Jayson’s always a tough guard. I mean, he’s playing at a high level right now and he’s been playing at a high level for most of his career, if not all of his career,” Ross said of Castro.

“Honestly, I think he’s playing some of the best basketball of his career right now, the way he’s running the show when [Terrence] Jones kinda takes a backseat and he’s getting people involved and scoring the ball at a high clip,” he added.

For the upcoming Finals, Ross once again welcomes the challenge of matching up with the opponent’s star guard.

And against a player the caliber of Castro, Ross is smart enough to realize that it’s not only just him that should pick up the Blur.

It’s going to take a sound San Miguel team defense to lock up Castro and in essense, the rest of his KaTropa.

“It’s always fun going against Jayson because he’s one of the best point guards to ever play in the PBA,” Ross said.

“So it’s gonna be a challenge, but it’s not me vs. Jayson; it’s team defense and we’ll try to put up a scheme to kinda limit him,” he added.
