We have a series.
San Miguel Beer survived TNT in a marathon Game 2, taking a 127-125 double overtime win in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals Wednesday at the Big Dome.
After blowing a 17-point lead, the Beermen got all the breaks as they tied the best-of-7 series at one game each.
Down three in regulation, Terrence Romeo hit a booming triple that allowed San Miguel to force the first overtime.
To force a second overtime, the Beermen watched TNT miss four straight free throws and needed a clutch Alex Cabagnot layup for a 114-all count.
San Miguel then dodged two bullets in the second OT after Jayscon Castro missed two go-ahead attempts from deep. Import Chris McCullough split his free throws in the previous possession.
Game 3 is set for Friday back at the Big Dome.
