After a crazy two days in which he’s been fined P200,000 for a racial gesture made towards TNT’s Terrence Jones, San Miguel Beer’s Arwind Santos can now have a sigh of relief.

Before Game 6 of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals Friday, Arwind approached Jones during warm-ups to personally apologize.

This was after Santos issued a video apology on Twitter Thursday for making a monkey gesture aimed towards Jones during Game 5 of the Finals Wednesday.

Terrence accepted the apology and that hit Arwind hard, perhaps more than the Beermen closing out the KaTropa in Game 6 to win the Commissioner’s Cup title.

After being unapologetic about his actions following Game 5, Arwind has learned the error of his ways and is more than willing to change.

It takes a lot for a person to own up from a previous mistake and be able to make yourself better moving forward.

Following the issue, Arwind played limited minutes in Game 6.

He came off he bench and played 13 and a half minutes. Arwind scored zero points. Whether or not San Miguel playing him limited minutes is because of the Jones issue or not is no longer relevant as long as Santos understood what went down.

In the end, the Beermen got their title and that’s the more important thing to pick up from Game 6.
