The 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals was a trying one for June Mar Fajardo.
First of all, he was matching up with a legitimate NBA-level player in Terrence Jones.
Second of all, Fajardo didn’t have the close presence of his family this time around as they were in Cebu.
“Dedicate namin championship na to sa family namin,” June Mar said after San Miguel beat TNT in the Commissioner’s Cup Finals, 4-2.
Ibang experience sana,” he added.
The question of what June Mar will do after the Finals has also been answered.
He will not be fishing nor will he roast his own lechon. He’s not even getting the chance to go home to Cebu just yet.
“Miss ko na sila,” June Mar said of his parents and family back home.
“Di ko pa sila makikita kasi after nito, Gilas pa ako,” he added.
Despite all the sacrifices however, things are worth it in the end as San Miguel won a second title this season, setting up a second shot at a Grand Slam for this current batch of Beermen.
