PBA: CBC for Abu trade finally approved
The Aces have finally completed a trade with the Blackwater, sending Carl Bryan Cruz to the Elite for rookie Abu Tratter.

First move for Alaska under new head coach Jeffrey Cariaso is to get a big man.

The Aces have finally completed a trade with the Blackwater, sending Carl Bryan Cruz to the Elite for rookie Abu Tratter.

The deal was officially approved by the PBA Friday.

Tratter was the no. 7 pick of last year’s PBA Draft by NLEX but was sent to Blackwater as part of the package that involved star big man Poy Erram. Abu will help revitalize Alaska’s aging and almost non-existent frontline.

CBC was part of the Gilas draft three years ago but his role has dimished with the Aces. In the Elite, he joins a crowded wing rotation but can function as a stretch 4 in small ball situations.

Both players should make their respective debuts with their new teams in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup which will open on Sept. 20.
