Kiefer Ravena's first PBA game in 18 months will be against a very tough Phoenix team. See you at the Big Dome on Sept. 21.
The PBA is back on Sept. 20 and here are the five essential games to watch in the 2019 Governors' Cup.
Let's get this show on the road.
Sept. 21 - NLEX vs. Phoenix @ the Big Dome.
Kiefer Ravena's first PBA game in 18 months against a very tough Phoenix team.
This game needs no introduction really. Welcome back, Kief.
Oct. 2 - Northport vs. Columbian @ the Big Dome.
The Batang Pier going up against the Dyip means it's CJ Perez vs. Robert Bolick once again.
The PBA's two best rookies are fresh from their initial Gilas Pilipinas experience so it's nice to look forward to just how much they both improved as a result.
Oct. 6 - Alaska vs. Magnolia @ the Big Dome.
The Finals rematch from last year, it will be intersting how the Aces and the Hotshots fare against each other this time.
Magnolia has maintained its high status since winning last year's title and the Hotshots will have import Romeo Travis back.
However, the Aces no longer have coach Alex Compton and Best Import Mike Harris. Alaska will be a somewhat different team with coach Jeffrey Cariaso in charge for this Finals rematch.
Oct. 20 - Magnolia vs. Ginebra @ the Big Dome.
Manila Clasico is always a must-see event.
The fact that the Hotshots and the Gin Kings are the last two Governors' Cup champions adds more to an already intriguing showdown.
Nov. 20 - San Miguel vs. TNT @ Ynares Antipolo
It's the showdown of the flagship teams fresh from a Commissioner's Cup Finals showdown.
If the Beermen are to complete a Grand Slam, they'll probably need to pass the TNT test again. If the KaTropa are to win a title, they'll probably have to finally beat the Beermen to do so.
Plus, it's SMB-TNT so that's always fun regardless of what's at stake.
