Almond Vosotros is officially back in the PBA with TNT KaTropa.
TNT’s big win over Blackwater Wednesday in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup was Vosotros’ first game back.
The former UAAP champion out of La Salle shot a perfect 3/3 for seven points in 15 minutes of play. The KaTropa won by 28 over Blackwater to start strong in the Governors’ Cup.
“Honestly, last conference nagpa-practice na ako sa TNT,” Vosotros said.
“Pero may mga conflict pa sa MPBL. Ngayon meron akong agreement na kapag may teams ulit na kumuha sakin, papayagan. Ayun, sobrang bilis na na-call up ako nila coach Josh and coach Dickel na bumalik ako sa TNT,” he added.
After a failed first stint in the PBA, Vosotros bounced around in other leagues including a playing career in Thailand.
But now that he’s back in the PBA, he’s determined to stay.
“Siguro kasama sa process [playing abroad] para ma-develop ulit yung skills ko para pagbalik ko sa PBA, ready na ako,” Almond said.
“Talagang pinagsikapan ko. Nandito na ako, ito talaga yung main goal ko. So hanggang nandito ako gagawin ko lahat,” he added.
