Meralco’s comeback attempt Friday was cut short by a crucial goaltending violation against Raymond Almazan.
Down four in the final minute against NLEX in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, the Bolts gave up another two points with 35 seconds to go because of the Almazan violation.
Officials say Raymond touched the rim on a rebound play following a Kiefer Ravena attempt.
Almazan argues he did nothing wrong.
Break of the game din yun,” Raymond added.
In the end though, Almazan says the Bolts can’t affort to stage comebacks every game.
It’s on to the next one for Meralco now.
Good effort pa rin for the whole team. Siguro bawi na lang kami next game namin,” he added.
