Late in the fourth quarter of the TNT-Rain or Shine game Saturday in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, Elasto Painters import Joel Wright was forced to sit for three minutes after a flagrant foul penalty 1 against Troy Rosario.

After a rebound play, Wright extended his foot and tripped Rosario. It was an automatic flagrant foul.

Wright admits he lost his cool a little bit during the incident.

“Yeah I mean, there’s no excuses,” he said.

“Just gotta keep my composure more and I just gotta play better that’s all,” he added.

Still, Wright insists that he was also the recepient of many hits during the game.

In particular, before he tripped Rosario, Wright got hit in the face by the basketball as he battled for a rebound against Troy.

“There was a lot of dirty plays that’s going on and it gets annoying as you play the whole game,” Wright said.

“But as I’ve said, I gotta play better for my team,” he added.
