Troy Rosario was a man on fire Wednesday in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.
Leading the TNT offense in a win over Phoenix, Rosario finished with 32 points built around a 6/9 shooting clip from deep.
Troy poured 19 points in the second half, including 13 in the fourth as the KaTropa needed every basket to hold off the charging Fuel Masters.
“Yun talaga game plan eh, to stretch the floor,” Rosario said.
“First half talaga di ako maka-shoot, so kailangan ko tuluy-tuloy tumira. Good thing pumasok na mga tira ko, naka-tulong samin para manalo,” he added.
Against Phoenix, the KaTropa shot 18/30 from deep, 13 coming from the local big 3 of Rosario, RR Pogoy, and Jayson Castro.
Same as it has been for the longest time, TNT will live and die by the three-point shot. The KaTropa are living the best life so far as they’re tied for first with a 3-0 record.
“Sa sistema naman namin kahit sino pwede tumira ng three points basta open ka,” Rosario said.
“Di naman kami pinapagalitan kasi sa practice yun naman ginagawa namin eh. Good thing lumalabas sa game,” he added.
