Power is back over at Meralco.
The Bolts added to the woes of Alaska in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, scoring a dominant 101-75 win Friday at the MOA Arena.
Bouncing back from a previous loss to NLEX, Meralco had a strong second half behind the power duo of import Allen Durham and Baser Amer to put the Aces away.
Amer fired six triples on his way to a game-high 27 points while Durham, a former two-time Best Import, had a near triple-double of 25 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists.
Raymond Almazan added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Bolts for good measure.
Meralco led by as many as 30 points in the second half and the team improved to 2-1 with the win.
Chris Banchero scored 12 points to lead the now 0-4 Aces. No starter scored in double figures for Alaska and new import Franko House debuted with just eight points and 11 rebounds.
