ANTIPOLO — Blackwater’s slump is no more.

The Elite picked up their first win in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup Saturday at the Ynares Center here, taking down Northport, 107-98.

Slowly pulling away from the Batang Pier, Blackwater improved to 1-2, finally getting the inspired performance it needed after a lackluster start.

Northport dropped to 1-3 with three straight losses.

Five players scored in double figures for Blackwater, with locals Ray Parks (21 points) and Carl Bryan Cruz (16 points) leading the way.

Import Marqus Blakely had a fine all-around performance, going for 13 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, and eight blocks.

For Northport, Mychal Ammons led all scorers with 29 points while Robert Bolick added 14 points for the reeling Batang Pier.
