PBA: Wells delivers as Beermen stop NLEX in Dubai

San Miguel’s unbeaten run continues while that of NLEX’s ends in Dubai Friday (Saturday morning, Manila).
The Beermen were amazing down the stretch, pulling off a sensational 98-94 win over the Road Warriors in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
San Miguel ended the game with a 7-0 run to start the conference with a 3-0 mark. Import Dez Wells scored the go-ahead basket to push the Beermen up, 95-94, with 23 seconds to go.
NLEX failed to answer as Kiefer Ravena and import Olu Ashaoulu both missed on their attempts on their end.
Wells continues to impress in his first PBA stint, pouring 32 points and 14 rebounds in the win.
Alex Cabagnot and June Mar Fajardo were the top locals for the Beermen with 20 and 16 points respectively.
Ravena scored 20 for NLEX but it wasn’t enough to carry things through. The Road Warriors are now 3-1 after the loss.
