“Sobrang galing. Both on offense and defense, makikita mo talaga na kayang kaya niya gawin, sobrang easy sa kaniya,” Castro said of Perez. (PBA)
CJ Perez might as well be the next Jayson Castro but the PBA’s no. 1 rookie still has some growing up to do.
After all, the Blur is still active and he’s still the best unless someone knocks him off the top.
Still, Perez had his chance Saturday in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup as his Dyip were in position to take down Castro’s TNT KaTropa.
However, the Blur and the rest of his KaTropa managed to come out on top with a 125-120 win.
The final tally for their head-to-head this time is 25 points and six assists for Castro and 23 points and seven rebounds for Perez.
“Magaling din siyang dumepensa. Alam niya yung weakness ko tsaka strength ko rin,” Castro said of Perez.
“Noong huli siguro, naka-isa lang ako talaga sa kanya,” he added.
Castro was all praises for Perez and the way he’s describing CJ is like Jayson describing his own game.
“Sobrang galing. Both on offense and defense, makikita mo talaga na kayang kaya niya gawin, sobrang easy sa kaniya,” Castro said.
“Lalo na yung transition game niya, sobrang hirap i-stop kasi kapag umatake, mahirapan ka na i-stop siya,” he added.
