PBA: Finals rematch goes to Magnolia as Aces’ woes pile up

Much like last year’s Finals, Magnolia-Alaska goes the way of the Hotshots.
The defending champions piled on the woes of the Aces, taking a close 95-90 win Sunday in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup at the Big Dome.
It ended up being close but Magnolia was in control for almost the whole game, leading by as many as 15 points.
To secure the win, their third straight for a 3-1 mark, the Hotshots got much-needed stops late as Alaska dropped further down the standings with a 0-5 record.
Four players scored double figures for the champs led by Ian Sangalang with 19 points to go along with 10 rebounds.
Import Romeo Travis added 17 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists. Mark Barroca and Paul Lee contributed 13 and 11 points respectively.
The Aces got top-heavy production with Vic Manuel going for 22 points and Franko House finishing with 20. Chris Banchero was good for 17 points in the loss.
