PBA: Meralco goes streaking with easy win over Phoenix

Meralco scores its first winning streak in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.
The Bolts were electrifying in their performance against Phoenix Sunday, taking a 111-94 victory over the Fuel Masters at the Big Dome.
Winners of back-to-back games, Meralco improved to 3-1 in the team standings while Phoenix dropped to 1-4 after two straight losses.
For the second straight game, the power duo of import Allen Durham and Baser Amer were crucial for the Bolts.
Durham led the way with 27 points and 12 rebounds while Amer shot four triples on his way to 26 points. Raymond Almazan and rookie Bong Quinto added 14 points each for Meralco.
Chris Newsome capped the win with a triple-double of 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists.
The Fuel Masters struggle shooting from the field with import Eugene Phelps doing most of the heavy lifting on offense with 31 points.
