PBA: Garcia the hero as Phoenix rises for the win

Phoenix got back on the winning track in the most exciting way possible.
The Fuel Masters almost blew a game they controlled most of the way, escaping with a pulsating 86-84 win over Rain or Shine Wednesday at the Cuneta Astrodome in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.
After rookie Javee Mocon tied the game at 84-all, Phoenix had 1.8 seconds to try and go for the win.
Fortunately, the Fuel Masters connected on the winning play with import Eugene Phelps finding RR Garcia for the marginal basket.
Phoenix arrested a two-game slide and improved to 2-4 for the conference. ROS dropped to 1-4 with three straight losses.
Phelps led the way with 19 points, 20 rebounds, seven assists, and five blocks for Phoenix.
RJ Jazul added 15 points for the Fuel Masters and Garcia finished with 14 points and three assists.
ROS struggled from the field as a team but still ended up gettting 29 points from import Kayel Locke.
Rey Nambatac was the top local for the Elasto Painters with 14 points.
