Rashawn McCarthy has been with Columbian for almost two full seasons already and he’s yet to experience a winning streak.

Yes that’s right, over the past two seasons, when Columbian wins a game, they always lose the next one.

McCarthy wants to change that. After beating up Blackwater Friday in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup to improve to 3-2, the Dyip will go for that elusive winning streak next week vs. NLEX.

“It’s good to get wins but since I’ve been on this team we haven’t gotten back-to-back wins. We’ve been really close, I think next week is a challenge for us to achieve that goal,” McCarthy said.

“Yes, challenge accepted,” he added.

Rashawn was instrumental in Columbian blasting the Elite to get a nice win for the Dyip Friday.

Columbian drilled 13 triples and McCarthy was responsible for more than half, connecting on seven treys all on his own.

“I’ve been coming early to practice, getting some extra reps just to find my rhythm,” he said.

“Guys are looking for me once I hit my first shot, I was really confident with the next couple of looks and just let it fly,” McCarthy added.
