ANTIPOLO — KJ McDaniels was determined to keep TNT perfect in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.
McDaniels took over late, leading the KaTropa to a 99-93 overtime win over Alaska Friday here.
Down two in regulation, KJ beat Aces import Franko House with a spin to force an 89-all tie with a crucial basket.
TNT then escaped a bullet as MJ Ayaay missed a gimme layup on the other end that would have counted as the game-winning basket.
In extra time, McDaniels hit a booming triple over House to put the KaTropa up, 95-91. TNT was never threatened again.
