That’s back-to-back big wins now for Barangay Ginebra.
The Gin Kings dominated Manila Clasico Sunday at the Big Dome, burying defending champion Magnolia, 105-83, in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.
Thanks to a huge scoring outburst in the second half, Ginebra turned a close game into a blowout, earning consecutive wins in the conference for the first time to improve to 3-2.
Magnolia dropped to 3-4 with three straight losses.
Justin Brownlee submitted yet another sensational all-around effort, finishing with 27 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds, and four steals.
Local support was great for the Gin Kings again with four other players in double figures led by Japeth Aguilar and Scottie Thompson with 14 points each.
Rome Dela Rosa was the high man for Magnolia with 18 points. Import Romeo Travis returned from injury for the Hotshots and added 17 points and 17 rebounds.
