So far so good for Rain or Shine with its new import.
Kwame Alexander debuted for the Elasto Painters Wednesday and the team snapped their four-game losing skid in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup by pounding on the Blackwater Elite.
Alexander, Rain or Shine's third import this conference, had himself a solid 17 points and 16 rebounds in his first game.
“We did what we were supposed to do, we won the game.” Alexander said.
“Just got to keep working, keep playing defense, come with energy,” he added.
At 2-5, ROS barely stayed in the race for the playoffs with the victory.
And as the Elasto Painters’ third option for import this conference, there’s some pressure put on Alexander to perform and deliver the Ws.
“That’s not new. I’ve done this before. I’ve had to come in with big expectations that I can bring energy and win games and be successful,” he said.
“I did okay. I feel I could do better. Defense wins games so I was trying to just focus on that and try to make our teammates better. It all worked out,” Alexander added as he and the rest of the Elasto Painters move on to the next one.
