Magnolia’s losing skid is no more.
The champion Hotshots are back on track, blowing out Columbian Sunday in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup for a 118-103 win at the Big Dome.
Coming in with a three-game losing skid, Magnolia was on point the whole game, slowly pulling away from the upstart Dyip to secure the victory.
Magnolia traded places with Columbian in the team standings, moving up to 6th place with a 4-4 record. The Dyip drop down to 4-5.
Finally near 100 percent, import Romeo Travis led the wa for Magnolia with 28 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals, and two blocks.
Ian Sangalang starred for the Hotshots’ local crew, dropping 24 points on 73 percent shooting. Jio Jalalon was good for 19 points while Rome dela Rosa added 16 points in a starting role.
Despite their best effort, the Dyip still can’t get that elusive winning streak. Columbian got 28 points from top rookie CJ Perez and import Khapri Alston posted another double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds.
