It’s a tight playoff race in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.
Five teams are currently in the running for the top-four spots and the twice-to-beat advantages that come with them. On Sunday, two teams in contention will square off for the right to take over solo third place.
San Miguel Beer currently holds that no. 3 spot with a 5-2 record, but the Beermen are coming off a loss.
On the other side, Meralco is coming off a win and the Bolts are coming in hot with a 4-2 record.
This San Miguel-Meralco showdown could prove crucial down the stretch as both teams still chase TNT (7-1) and NLEX (6-1) at the top of the standings.
Tip off for the Beermen and the Bolts will be at 6:45 p.m. Sunday at the Big Dome right after the 4:30 p.m. meeting of defending champion Magnolia (3-4) and the upstart Columbian Dyip (4-4).
