Despite being fierce rivals in college, CJ Perez and Robert Bolick have grown to become close friends as pros.

Top-3 picks in the 2018 PBA Draft and teammates in Gilas Pilipinas’ 2019 FIBA World Cup team, CJ and Babes are as tight as two friends could get.

And as Bolick is expected to miss time in the PBA for Northport due to an apparent knee injury suffered in the 2019 Governors’ Cup, Perez is wishing his buddy all the best.

“I’m praying for him,” Perez said of Bolick.

“Kasi as an athlete, mahirap yung dumating ka sa point na ganun,” he added.

A friendship forged by intense basketball rivalry, Perez looks for Bolick to come back healthy as soon as possible.

“Pinagdadasal ko siya lagi kasi kahit na nasa kabilang team kami, iba yung samahan namin ni Bolick eh,” CJ said.

“I hope na gumaling siya agad and makabalik,” Perez added.
