PBA: Dez-less SMB survives Blackwater in OT

No import, no problem for San Miguel Beer.
The Beermen survived Blackwater in overtime Wednesday in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, getting back on track with a 99-96 win at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Despite blowing a fourth-quarter lead, San Miguel was able to regroup in OT to snap a two-game losing skid. The Beermen, playing without injured import Dez Wells, improved to 6-3 with the victory.
Reigning five-time MVP June Mar Fajardo led the way for San Miguel, scoring 30 points on top of 13 rebounds.
Terrence Romeo came off the bench and added 20 points while Arwind Santos was good for 13 markers.
The Elite, in total rebuild mode, put up a strong fight behind 25 points from Mac Belo.
Import Marqus Blakely added 24 points, 18 rebounds, and six steals but he fouled out early in the overtime session. Blackwater dropped to 2-8 with the loss.
