PBA: Reloaded Hotshots take down Phoenix to near playoffs

Defending champion Magnolia is keeping its place in the playoff race.
The Hotshots pulled away late Wednesday at the Cuneta Astrodome, clipping Phoenix, 97-81, in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.
Now winners of back-to-back games, the Hotshots are at solo 6th place with a 5-4 record. More importantly, Magnolia still has an outside shot to crash the top-4 party and enter the quarters with a playoff bonus.
Import Romeo Travis is slowly regaining his game after dealing with injury, leading the champs with 20 points, 16 rebounds, and eight assists for a near triple-double.
Ian Sangalang was the top local for the Hotshots with 17 points while Paul Lee addded 15 points. Chris Banchero debuted for Magnolia with 10 points.
Phoenix got 24 points from Alonzo Gee but he only shot 29 percent from the field. Matthew Wright finished with 19 points for the now 2-7 Fuel Masters.
