Alaska was left for dead in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup after starting the conference with five straight losses.
The next five games were different though as the Aces won four, including three straight following the close call against Phoenix Wednesday.
Now, Alaska is at 4-6 and is closing in on a playoff berth.
“I think how we started, we'd be happy with this opportunity. And we really are,” head coach Jeffrey Cariaso said.
“Medyo rocky yung start namin, struggling really, really bad, but I think the second half of this schedule we've been a lot better,” he added.
It’s an incredible turnaround for the Aces but Cariaso refuses to say that they’re peaking right now.
One thing Coach Jeff will say though is that Alaska is on the same page right now.
“I think we're better, we're a lot better. I don't wanna say we're peaking yet because it means we're close to being at our best,” he said.
“What's nice is everyone's on the same page and what they wanna do is really just win,” Cariaso added.
