Northport kept its playoff hopes in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup alive Wednesday, driving past the Road Warriors at the Big Dome, 102-94.
Behind a strong third-quarter run where they scored 38 points, the Batang Pier were able to hold off NLEX the rest of the way, improving to 4-6 in the team standings.
Northport got a big game from import Michael Qualls who scored 36 points. Christian Standhardinger also had a great game, finishing with 23 points and 19 rebounds.
Sean Anthony added 19 points and the Batang Pier finally got back to the winning column.
Manny Harris scored 34 points from NLEX as he got his first loss in the PBA.
Despite losing, the Road Warriors retain first place with an 8-2 record.
