The top half of the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup playoffs is taking shape and is almost set.
The bottom half though, there’s still more than a couple of spots left to be decided.
In the main 7:00 p.m. game of Wednesday’s action at the Big Dome, Alaska and Phoenix fight for a chance to sneak into the playoffs as the no. 8 seed.
After a mid-conference revival, the Aces currently occupy that 8th spot with a 3-6 record. The Fuel Masters are a full game back with a 2-7 mark.
Northport also has a shot with a 3-6 card but the Batang Pier have a more daunting task as they take on no. 1 NLEX in the first 4:30 p.m. game.
The Road Warriors are coming off a stunning 26-point comeback against defending champion Magnolia over the weekend. At 8-1, NLEX has clinched twice-to-beat but a win allows them to keep first place for the week at least.
