PBA: Champion Hotshots lock up 6th seed by adding to TNT’s woes

Defending champion Magnolia will enter the playoffs with a win.
The Hotshots added to the woes of TNT in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, scoring a 100-93 win Saturday at the University of Southeastern Philippines Gym in Davao del Sur.
Magnolia led by as many as 23 points and unlike the loss to NLEX last week, the Hotshots didn’t blow it this time.
The victory pushed the Hotshots to 6-5, locking up the no. 6 seed in the playoffs. TNT lost a third straight game but at 7-3, the KaTropa still have one more shot to lock up the last twice-to-beat edge in the quarterfinals.
Import Romeo Travis led the Magnolia attack, scoring 21 points. Chris Banchero and Paul Lee added 13 each for the champs.
KJ McDaniels was the high man for the KaTropa with 33 points while Ray Parks was good for 21 points. TNT is 0-3 since acquiring Parks and Mike Digregorio from Blackwater.
