The top-4 teams of the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup will be set Wednesday.

Flagships TNT and San Miguel Beer will duke it out for the final playoff bonus as the elimination round ends at tha Ynares Center in Antipolo.

After starting the conference with seven straight wins, TNT has lost three straight but the KaTropa get one last shot at taking that elusive twice-to-beat edge provided they beat their longtime nemesis in San Miguel.

Meanwhile, San Miguel (6-4) also still has a shot at taking that playoff bonus but the Beermen will have to overcome both the KaTropa and reported in-fighting in the squad.

Final playoff seedings will be decided after all quotients have been considered but one thing’s for sure for both TNT and SMB: win and you clinch a twice-to-beat advantage.

Another sure thing in the Governors’ Cup playoffs is NLEX being the no. 1 seed. The Road Warriors (8-2) wrap things up against Alaska (4-6) in the first 4:30 p.m. game before the 7:00 p.m. showdown of TNT and SMB.

While it’s pretty much a no-bearing game for NLEX, it’s pretty important for Alaska as a win by the Aces means they’re the no. 7 seed. A loss by the Aces sets up an extra Alaska-Columbian game for 8th place.
