PBA: Castro returns from injury with near triple-double for TNT

ANTIPOLO — After pretty much all of TNT’s three-game losing skid due to injury, Jayson Castro returned to the KaTropa here Wednesday as they took on San Miguel Beer in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.
Playing a starting role, the Blur looked like he didn’t miss a bit, scoring 12 points for TNT to go along with 11 assists and nine rebounds.
More importantly, Castro’s presence has led to TNT regaining its winning ways and the KaTropa are will enter the quarterfinals with a coveted twice-to-beat advantage.
“Okay naman, nanalo kami. Yun kailangan naming panalo para nasa top-4 kami,” Castro said.
“Happy ako kasi naka-tulong ako sa team,” he added.
Afer dealing with a muscle strain on his leg that sidelined him for almost a month, Castro says he’s back to almost peak condition.
“Siguro malapit na dun sa 10 [on a scale of 1-10],” he said.
“Kasi extra work after practice, talagang lahat ginagawa ko para makuha agad yung rhythm ko tsaka hangin ko, para maka-tulong sa team,” Castro added.
