PBA: Erram suspended 1 game, fined P50k for hit on Northport import

NLEX will have to make the 2019 Governors’ Cup semifinals without its top big man.
The PBA has suspended Poy Erram for one game following his flagrant foul penalty 2 against Northport import Michael Qualls in the quarterfinals Monday.
With less than five minutes to go, Erram elbowed Qualls at the back of he head during an incident that almost turned into an actual fight. On top of his suspension, Erram is ordered to pay a P50,000 fine.
Also suspended one game for the top-ranked Road Warriors is reserve Paul Varilla for an F2 during the same incident. He’s fined for P40,000.
Other players receiving fines upon review are Philip Paniamogan (P5,000) and Kiefer Ravena (P1,000) for NLEX and Christian Standhardinger (P5,000) for Northport.
The Road Warriors and the Batang Pier will play a knockout game for the last semifinals seat on Wednesday.
