PBA: Columbian to pick first in Draft anew

Columbian will be picking first in the PBA Draft for the third straight year.
The Dyip will make the first selection in the 2019 Draft set for Dec. 8 at Robinson’s Place Manila. Last year, Columbian selected CJ Perez out of Lyceum with the no. 1 pick. In 2017, the Dyip also had the top pick but they traded it to San Miguel Beer.
Christian Standhardinger was the top choice two years ago.
For the second straight year, Blackwater will pick second. The Elite are at the no. 2 spot despite finishing last in two of the three conferences this season.
NLEX will draft third.
Some notable names in this year’s selection are Ateneo Blue Eagles Isaac Go, Andrian Wong, Vince Tolentino, and twins Matt and Mark Nieto.
Also in the Draft are Adamson’s Sean Manganti, Letran’s Jeric Balanza and Bonbon Batiller, Allyn Bulanadi of San Sebastian, twin brothers Jayvee and Jaycee Marcelino of Lyceum, William McAloney of EAC, Rey Suerte of UE, Cris Dumapig of CEU, Gwen Combo of FEU, Kid Montalbo of La Salle, Michael Salado of Arellano, Christopher Bitoon of St. Clare and Rian Michael Ayon-ayon of PCU.
Notable Fil-foreigners already listed are Daryl Singontiko, Roosevelt Adams, Mark Taylor, Jason Riley and Travis Thompson.
The prize of this batch, three-time UAAP Finals MVP Thirdy Ravena, is yet to declare his draft eligibility.
Prospects have the chance to apply until Friday, Nov. 29, and they have until Satuday, Nov. 30, to withdraw.
