Yep, it looks like TNT has fully regained its bearings.

The KaTropa are on the board in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals, shutting down sister team Meralco Sunday at the Big Dome, 103-94.

TNT built a 22-point lead and was steady in the middle of a Meralco comeback as the flagship MVP franchise took a 1-0 lead in the race-to-3 race.

Leading Best Import candidate KJ McDaniels proved his worth, powering the KaTropa offense with 38 points to go along with 14 rebounds.

The rest of the TNT starters likewise finished in double figures led by 18 points from RR Pogoy. Troy Rosario and Ray Parks added 11 each.

Jayson Castro was good for 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and zero turnovers in a near-flawless performance.

Meralco got 32 points from former two-time Best Import Allen Durham but he struggled from the field, shooting ony 42 percent. Allein Maliksi was the top local for the Bolts with 15 points off the bench.

Game 2 is Tuesday back at the Big Dome.
