It’s an all-MVP semifinals on the other side of the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup playoff bracket.

Meralco and TNT will start their series Sunday, a Governors’ Cup semifinals rematch three years in the making.

The Bolts enter as the no. 2 seed, coming off a pretty comfortable opening-round win against Alaska.

Meralco is also one of the hottest teams in the league, winning seven of its last eight games including the playoffs.

On the other side is TNT and its playoff win was far from comfortable. The KaTropa had to stage a late-game comeback to dethrone defending champion Magnolia in the opening round.

The hottest team in the league to start the conference, the KaTropa cooled off a bit but they seem to regain their confidence through the semis.

This TNT-Meralco showdown will be the first for both teams since the 2016 Governors’ Cup when the Bolts eliminated the top-ranked KaTropa, 3-1, on their way to a first Finals appearance in franchise history.

Game 1 of this best-of-5 will tip off at 6:30 p.m. live from the Big Dome.
