PBA: Ang dami niyang kurot sa akin -- Amer on Pogoy
Actually last game parang... ang dami niyang kurot sakin e.

Meralco’s one-sided beat down of TNT got a little color early in the game after KaTropa’s guard Roger Pogoy got into an early altercation with the Bolts’ bench.

Pogoy and Meralco assistant coach Chris Tan were slapped with technical fouls following a commotion with 9:11 left in the first quarter of the Bolt’s 114-94 demolition of TNT on Tuesday in the 2019 Governors’ Cup best-of-five semifinals Game 2 at the Big Dome.

Cooler heads prevailed to break the scuffle but it turned out that Pogoy had been doing something ‘extra’ that ignited the commotion.

Meralco guard Baser Amer accused Pogoy of pinching him during the game. The two actually banged bodies early in the duel that knocked Pogoy down in front of the Bolts’ bench where the TNT guard apparently heard something that he didn’t like that started the commotion.

But Amer pointed out that it was Pogoy’s action that started it all.

“Actually last game parang... ang dami niyang kurot sakin eh.

“As in may mga pasa ako.

Pogoy’s actions only ignited the desire of Meralco especially Amer, who scored 20 points including four triples, to take the series-tying win and it showed in the game.

The Bolts went lights out as they opened a 60-25 separation with 1:27 left in in the second period off. It was all Meralco from there.

As for Pogoy, he went scoreless in 32 minutes. He declined to comment on the pinching issue.
