Since Justin Brownlee became Ginebra’s resident import, the Gin KIngs can always count on a PBA Finals appearance every year.
Ginebra can also count on a championship every year as long as JB is in town.
But 2019 has proven to be a challenging year for the barangay, getting eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Philippine Cup.
In the Commissioner’s Cup, Ginebra’s title defense ended in the semifinals.

One more win and Brownlee’s Finals streak can continue for at least one more year.
“That’s our main goal for this conference,” JB said.
“It’s been over [a year] since we’ve been in the Finals. Coach was preaching that to us, everbody wants to feel that, just playing in the Finals and having an opportunity to win a championship,” he added.
Despite already having three PBA titles, winning certainly never gets old for Brownlee.
Now on his longest drought in his PBA career, which is not that long actually, Ginebra’s super import wants to remember that sweet championship feeling.
“Getting there just feels great,” Brownlee said of the Finals.
“We just want to feel that feeling and hopefully, we have a greater feeling after the Finals,” ge added.
