ANTIPOLO — Allen Durham playing pretty much guarantees a PBA Governors’ Cup Finals appearance.

Back in Meralco for a fourth straight season, Durham has helped lead Meralco to its third Governors’ Cup Finals.

Down 1-2 to sister team TNT, the Bolts surged past the KaTropa to in five games to once again have a chance at a first franchise title.

“It definitely feels good to be back. It was kinda weird last year not being there,” Durham said. The Bolts were eliminated in the semis last year.

“But I’m happy that we’re back. We’re gonna enjoy it tonight, enjoy Christmas, and then it’s back to work,” AD added.

The Bolts had to work to make another Finals.

Fortunately, the true Meralco team showed up in the deciding game, shutting down TNT in the second half to complete the series comeback.

“We felt that in the four games, we felt like we didn’t play our full potential. We knew if we played to our full potential, we can really beat them,” Durham said.

“That’s what we did tonight. Defensively we really got it together,” he added.
