PBA Finals: Meralco defense can get better says AD

So far in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup Finals, Meralco has held a double digit lead in each of the two games.
The Bolts were up 10 in the second half of Game 1 and were up by 19 in the second half of Game 2.
Meralco lost the series-opener by four and barely managed to hold on to tie the series in Game 2 in Lucena.
“Ginebra’s a great team. You know, they make their adjustments,” Meralco import Allen Durham said.
“This is the Finals, so you got to expect their best in the second half and that’s what they did,” he added.
Durham says the Bolts will need to start keeping leads, if they do continue to get them.
The former two-time Best Import also adds that the Bolts can always tighten up their defense.
“Whenever they start making a little run, we have to shut it down a little faster, a little bit sooner,” Durham said.
“We still have lapses on defense. You know, we got to shore up our defense, that’s number one. And then obviously we got to work on our box-and-1 offense and find a little better way to get everybody involved and get better shots and if we can do that I think we can do better in Game 3,” he added.
