Simly put, Meralco is in a must-win situation.
The Bolts’ chances at a first PBA championship could heavily-rely on Wednesday’s Game 4 of the Governors’ Cup Finals.
As it stands, Meralco is trailing 1-2 but what makes it worse is that the fact that the Bolts are dealing with the injury to star center Raymond Almazan.
Almazan left Game 3 early and was diagnosed with lateral meniscal tear on his left knee. His availablity for Game 4 and for the rest of the series in a big question mark.
And so, it’s safe to say that the Bolts will have to fend for themselves as they once again look for a series tie in the best-of-7.
On the other side, Ginebra is coming off its best game of these Finals and a 3-1 lead will allow the Gin Kings to really apply pressure on the opposition.
It’s the Finals and Barangay Ginebra will for sure hit Meralco where it hurts as the Gin Kings look inch closer to their end goal of regaining the Governors’ Cup title.
Game 4 will tip off Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. live from the Big Dome.
