Easily the biggest national story this week is the eruption of the Taal volcano and the effect it continues to have on our fellow Filipinos particularly in the Batangas area.
Ginebra's LA Tenorio, a native of Nasugbu, has expressed his concern for his fellow Batangueños affected by Taal's volcanic activity.
LA says that his family is good, especisally those in Nasugbu.
They're okay. Some of my cousins are doing voluntary work also and yung school dun naging one of the evacuation centers sa Batangas," he said.
"I keep in touch with the family. My parents are here since nangyari. They're ok, but my 97-year-old grandfather is there, but he's okay," Tenorio added.
With an ongoing PBA Governors' Cup Finals, Ginebra's Game 4 win was dedicated to the people of Batangas.
With Ginebra up 3-1 in the series, a possible title is also dedicated to the families affected by Taal.
"I told the players na we dedicate this win and hopefully, the championship on Friday for our kababayans in Batangas.
"We're really dedicating this championship for our kababayan, especially mga kababayan ko sa Batangas. Hopefully makuha namin sa Friday to make them smile, by winning the championship," he added.
