PBA Finals By the Numbers: "The Trilogy" is Ginebra's box-office hit

Who knows if the Ginebra-Meralco saga gets rebooted in the future but as far as everyone is concerned, "The Trilogy" is complete.
And "The Trilogy" was a Ginebra masterpiece.
The Gin Kings are once again a box-office hit, issuing a nice gentleman's sweep to Meralco to capture the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup.
One Ginebra nation will party once again and here's the fina By the Numbers look of the PBA's 44th season before the next one comes around.
Governors' Cup titles for Barangay Ginebra in the last four seasons, all came at the expense of the Bolts.
The Gin Kings beat Meralco in six games in 2016, in seven games in 2017, and now by five games to end the 2019 Governors' Cup.

The Brownlee era in Ginebra has now resulted in four championships. Since coming over to the barangay in 2016, Brownlee has led the Gin Kings to at least a semifinals each time.
Once they make the Finals, it's pretty much a guaranteed title. Ginebra is 4/4 in the Finals with Brownlee.

The Gin Kings keep their spot at no. 5 all-time for most titles per franchise but Ginebra is inching closer to rivals Alaska and Magnolia, who both have 14 titles each and share second place in the all-time list.
Straight wins for Ginebra in these Finals.
By winning Games 3-5 against Meralco, the Gin Kings replicated their own streak from Games 4-6 in 2016 to also win the title.
Those two streaks by the Gin Kings are the only time a team won back-to-back games or more in "The Trilogy."
